My name is Chris Logel, and I live in the Kitchener/Waterloo area.
From my days at the University of Guelph, I have had an interest in politics at the federal level. In 2003 I graduated with a degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice Public Policy. Originally my interest in the theatre of politics and how the actors interacted with each other. I counted score as political opponents attacked each other, and watched how it effected the horse race numbers (public opinion polls).
After observing Ottawa for a few years, I started to notice these partisan squabbles turned more people away from civic engagement. Real issues weren’t being discussed, and MPs spend less time on concerns brought forth by their constituents.
I still believe it is important to be engaged in the political process, both to work within the existing system, and to make changes where it is needed. This blog is my attempt to get people interested again, and be a catalyst for something bigger in the future.
I am a father of three wonderful children. Other than politics, I am interested in superhero movies, spy novels and sports. I play pick-up basketball and golf when I get the chance, and am involved in a number of charitable organizations.
